I was so energized when I heard this book would be set in the 1930’s. Amanda Quick books are constantly extraordinary regardless of what era she is writing in however this was recently such a great amount of enjoyable to peruse. This book opens with a blast as Anna Harris (later known as Irene Glasson) happens upon her killed manager. She finds things have not been as they appear and her life could be in danger with her insight into a note pad containing delicate data. She takes the book, her money and escapes crosscountry in her Packard. With a specific end goal to remain under the radar, she changes her name to Irene Glasson, abandons her Packard along the street and turns into a chatter columnist in California. Following the trail of a best in class performing artist, she finds another dead body, this one having a place with her source. While attempting to get to reality of what happened she builds up an association with the director of the lodging (Oliver Ward) where the performer is remaining. Amanda Quick made an awesome showing with regards to transporting the peruser to 1930’s Hollywood. Not simply in the autos and garments but rather the way the characters collaborated with each other. They were consistent with the day and age. I delighted in the working of the connection amongst Irene and Olivier.
